recording studio close to San Francisco. It's a cozy creative musical laboratory, large
enough to record drums and the rest of your band. An ideal recording studio for local
bands and singer songwriters.

In 2013, my state of the art Pro Tools rig
has 18 inputs for tracking and mixing in the box. I've made well over 60
commercially available records here and tracked 300+ piano/vocal and/or guitar/vocal song
demos. Check out my discography. I have a very efficient and adaptable
workflow in place for every step of the recording process. I can do everything here, but
if you plan to do some parts of the project somewhere else, I can work with those files
too.

The control room is where
all the listening, mixing and editing happens. All the recording snakes lead towards this
room and a custom 18 input digital audio workstation running Pro Tools. All the gear is
within reach from the desktop and routed through patch bays. With great visibility of the
main room from every location, it is comfortable for tracking, overdubs and mixing.
The main room is where
most of the recording takes place. 90% of everything that we record here is tracked
through microphones in this room with the performer(s) wearing headphones. This room
sounds great tracking drums, vocals, amplifiers and instruments. I have various custom
panels, baffles and methods for treating the room. Excellent visibility of the control
room and side room.
The side room is great for isolating a performer, combo amp or
instrument. Separated from the main room by a sliding glass door, it allows for a high
level of isolation from mics in the main room. It's large enough for one person
playing an instrument and/or tracking vocals.
The amp closet is a great
dead room for isolating a speaker cabinet or combo amp.
The piano room stores
some musical instruments (including a 1908 Steinway baby grand and wurlitzer spinet). I
have lots of custom, circuit bent toys, speakers, and other sonic treasures. A six channel
snake runs up there for recording.
