ENGINEER - GEAR - HOME - MYSPACE - PHOTOS - TESTIMONIALS
| As a recording engineer, I think it is imperative
to learn and develop very different, sometimes even opposing methods for
recording music, to apply them as needed with the material being recorded.
In essence, all singer/songwriters don't sound the same and the editing
techniques I use to record and mix hip hop music don't always apply to setting
up stereo microphones for recording a drum set, mandolin or acoustic piano.
Keep in mind that although a certain level of professional recording equipment & computer technology is required, I believe it is secondary to hands on experience and the knowledge of how to use your equipment & environment to get the best results. Once again, the sounds I need to get from project to project are unique and so I am constantly updating my gear, learning new techniques and working with a variety of talented people making every effort to achieve the best possible result for any given artist and/or producer. The one constant for me is my recording studio. By working in the same facility since 2003, I know what my rooms sound like and how to get the best results in them. If you are a band, musician, songwriter or artist of any genre that is considering recording give me a call and hear what I can do for you.
